In Conversation with the Editors of Sofra - Yabangee.com, Feb 20, 2015

The lovely Annie Özsaraç, contributor to Tales from the Expat Harem, interviews Expat Sofra and talks about the Turkish sofra:

Having been one of the contributors to the Tales from the Expat Harem anthology over a decade ago, I was excited to see a call for submissions for a new compilation. The spirit of the project remains — foreign women in Turkey sharing their experiences — but the focus this time is centered around food. For anyone who has been here for more than, say, two weeks, you know that Turkey and food go hand in hand.

Through the Lens - Katherine Belliel, Today's Zaman, Feb 13, 2015

In Katherine's own words about Expat Sofra's photo shoot with Journey Collective and Gipsy Shears:

Even after 15 years, the Old İstanbul skyline still takes my breath away. The clicking of lenses brought me back to reality. I hadn't realized they were photographing me in that moment. Later, I would marvel at how they captured the love I feel for Turkey and İstanbul in those photographs, when I felt unobserved.
